Erie Hotman Tobing obtained his Sarjana Hukum (Bachelor of Laws) degree from the University of Indonesia, in 2005 majoring in Litigation, followed by a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from the University of Melbourne (2009), Australia, majoring in Commercial Law. He joined Soemadipradja & Taher (S&T) in 2010 after working as an attorney with another local firm. He is a licensed Advocate and a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI).

Erie, most recently a senior associate with S&T, was appointed Partner in mid 2018.

Erie’s main areas of practice include litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute settlement, general corporate, bankruptcy and suspension of debt payments, debt restructuring and insurance.
